Carlos Aguilar
There is something wrong with my lexus es300 starter.Sometime starts and sometime nothing. I have checked the starter solenoid ,battery as well as the cable connections. All of they are good, I assume the problem is the starter itself, since it's has been used for about 7-8 years. If I asked a mechanic to check, the labor cost is about $100,it still does not include the starter cost. I chance upon an aftermarket lexus starter from hexautoparts costs $53.00 and free shipping. I haven't see many reviews about these cheap lexus es300 starter. Have you ever bought this brand starter replacement ? https://www.hexautoparts.com/starter-for-lexus-es300-rx330-toyota-camry-highlander-solara-venza-3-0l-3-3l-3-5l-v6-2002-2014-17825.html If not, which brand of auto car starter do you use ? Thank you for your sharing.
gbhrps
Carlos, Checking over their online ad indicates that they guarantee the unit with a money back statement as well. Their return policy seems reasonable as well. Having never purchased parts from these people myself, I see no reason not to. My one caution would be to be sure that a starter is what you need to solve your issue. Check the numerous YouTube videos on how to tell if your starter is bad and then verify yours is kaput before you buy one. Good Luck! sean munoz
Some reviews I found on https://www.trustpilot.com/review/hexautoparts.com , Most said ship fast on time, excellent price and great product. I have never bought this brand's items as there is nothing that I need at this time. But I will keep it on my list if any auto parts are needed, since totally affordable and fast delivery. lenore
Why not just replace the starter contacts. Cheap from amazon and takes about 30 minutes. Any mechanic could do this... http://www.nationsautoelectric.com/instructions.html see this for explanation.. I have done this on two different starters with success in fixing your intermittent starting.

pauloil
be sure to do voltage drop testing on the cables first. any voltage drop of 0.2V or more is indicative of a bad cable.
