Timing Belt??

I'm getting conflicting answers on this. Does an '08 GS 350 AWD have a timing belt or a timing chain?

Thank you again. That was my impression, but I think the owners manual has service at 90,000 for a belt???

I suppose that maybe the wording is likely generic and legal. I know that these engines have a timing chain which is relatively not serviced until / if they make noise. I would not worry, it does have a chain.

The 2008 GS 350 is a 6 cylinder and has a timing chain and does not require replacement. The 2006 GS 430 and all other 8 Cyl 4.3slike the SC, LS etc have an actual Belt. I just replaced mine at 150,000 Klms. It was still in perfect shape. The water pump was pristine but I replaced it too while I was in there.
