gav_logan
Hey, some one backed into my door while it was open today, now it wont close without scraping the paint. Am I able to adjust the hinges while the doors are still on? urgent advice would be appreciated.
amf1932
In body shop lingo......"your hinge is sprung". This in laymans terms is: it's bent. I doubt whether you can readjust this type of damage yourself because you need some pretty heavy duty tools, such as in a body shop to correct this misalignment. ;)
gav_logan
Thanks, yeah, I've just got back from working on it. I found the hinges were bent, sO I bent them back, but possibly a bit to far. The door opens and closes now, but not too easily. Guess my date tomorrow will have to slide over my lap :whistles:
Lexusfreak
Hey gav, nice idea! :D Why not just get the entire passenger side welded shut & then problem solved :whistles: :P j/k
