I have 168k on a 93 still running strong, if you go to the dealer for major service looking at almost 2k, other shops around 1-1.5k. I don't know if timing belt, water pump was changed but that would be part of your major service.

I have a '95 with 173K and the drive train is bullet proof. This sounds like an excellent purchase depending on price. Why has it been used so little in last 2 years? things that sit dry out and leak.

this model is reliable beyond anything comparable but first thing is find a mechanic you can trust. I figure $500 per year in maintanence. Altenator $350, Battery $125; anytbing in air conditionaing $1200. Timing belt should have been done with water pump and pulleys etc. Show the receipts to the mechanic and he'll note anything missing.

Anything in the dash you're looking at $1000 but everything else is normal for high end Japanese; compare to BMW and you'll always be happy.
