13IS250C Posted April 27, 2015 Posted April 27, 2015 Wow! What a sharp looking car. I have to admit that I have never been a fan of the Maxima. I always thought they were kind of over designed. This new model is a winner though.
LEX-SV Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 I'll take a look. Past versions have been bloated and overstyled. 1
pj8708 Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 I think I saw one in my rear view mirror. A good place for one.......LOL
LEX-SV Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Most likely the torque steer problems of the past have been fixed on new Maximas Anybody own (or owned) a fairly recent one? I never owned a Nissan product, only driven a few.
13IS250C Posted May 26, 2015 Author Posted May 26, 2015 Wow....a Maxima is FWD? I would have never dreamed. You know I had a 370Z before Lexie. It was a lot of car for the money. I had the base model, but it still comes with the 332 HP engine. It would fly. My problems with it were just too harsh of a ride, the seats were made of brick and there was too much road noise even though I used some sound barrier in the rear area. Maybe the touring version is more refined. I'm just too old for such a rough vehicle. It sure did turn the heads though.
VBdenny Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Last nice looking Maxima I saw was in a friend's garage after he traded in his LS400. Went back less than a year later to have a few PBR's with him and there was a new ES350 all decked out. I asked him what happened to the Maxima? Hated it he replied.
LEX-SV Posted May 26, 2015 Posted May 26, 2015 Wow, so what did he hate about the Maxima (besides the $15K lost in depreciation, taxes and fees that is) ?
VBdenny Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 He said "it doesn't drive like a Lexus." I'm sure the depreciation wasn't appreciated either.

I think I've missed a few years......do they really still make Pabst? What I really miss is Hamm's. Not the beer, the commercials!! "From the land of sky blue water's".

VBdenny Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 My friend is a Viet Nam veteran. He prefers PBR to this day as it was the beer of the time. Still pretty good, hard core American beer and still available at many grocery chains. Thanks Paul
