Who told you that? Toyota testing shows 300,000 miles on the Prius battery, then can be rebuilt for about $1000. The small 12V battery in almost any car should be replaced at 4 to 5 years to prevent being stranded. Traction battery should last a long time. Lexus dealer can check battery condition.

No worries. it's ame battery we have in Camry Hybrid, also it's ame battery used in airplanes. They last a very long time. Of course, that said, life can happen but overall, they are long lasting ones. Honda on the other hand had real crappy batteries in their hybrid vehicles, practically that's why they stopped making hybrid Accords and Civics.

No worries.

My 2007 GS 450h has 155000 miles and the battery is still going strong.
