jorg Posted December 8, 2014 Posted December 8, 2014 I recently replacement my battery in my RX 400H. I was able to re-set the windows switchesfrom the driver side. The only problem Isee at the moment is that when I open the driver-side passenger door theinterior light does not come on. All otherdoors work. Has anyone run into this problem and been able to fix it? Any suggestions would be great. Are there any other things I should be looking out since thebattery change that I might be missing??
maseace Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Maybe the door switch is broken (the little switch on the pillar near the door latch covered in a rubber boot). Also make sure the dome lights are set to the "door" position.
jorg Posted January 2, 2015 Author Posted January 2, 2015 When I start to unscrew the door switch to remove it the light turns on. But when Iclose the door and re-open it after all the interior lights go out, thelight doesn't come back on when I open the drivers passenger door. Isit the switch or something else any??
maseace Posted January 2, 2015 Posted January 2, 2015 Sounds like it's probably the door switch. RX400h Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Also check the wiring connection to the switch. It may be loose, resulting in an intermittent connection. Door switches typically last more than 20 years.
