staceyb Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 I have a 2003 IS300 5 speed. I am having an intermittent problem with my clutch pedal. At very slow speeds, or while I am stopped, I turn the wheel and with every full revolution of my wheel, I get either a pulsation in the pedal or a sensation that feels like a rubbing behind the pedal. Has anyone experienced this? I am at my wit's end- it has been to the dealer 3 times to no avail. HELP!
bartkat Posted March 30, 2004 Posted March 30, 2004 Are you sure that's not just the power steering reaching the stop?
staceyb Posted March 30, 2004 Author Posted March 30, 2004 I don't think so- for a couple of reasons. One, it is intermittent. But when it does it, it tends to do it for a period of time (a couple of days). It is definitely a feeling in the clutch pedal- not in the steering. I do suspect it has something to do with the interface of the steering and the clutch (if there is such an interface).
Tim Quinn Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 any modifications to the car? performance? stereo equipment? somethign could be physically interfearing with the clutch mechanism, like a power cable for a big stereo, or poorly located groundwire? next time it happens poke your head into the engine bay and see if tehre is anything out of place down there.
