On Tuesday, March 18, 2018, Toyota came clean and put out a press release admiting their blame in what became a massive recall of both Toyota and some Lexus model cars. The recall was for the malfunction of accelserator related problems.

My 2007 IS350 was involved in related recall and fixes made a few years ago.

By Toyota's own admission, these safety issues were handled poorly in the past. They claim to have changed.
