Remote Start Available But An App Is On The Way

I am purchasing a 2013 es 350 and having dealer install a remote start.

Was told by dealer that an "app" will be available in about 6 months that will allow remotely starting motor via SMART PHONE.

Is there anyone with knowledge about the remote start.

My question is........if I have the existing remote start package installed now, will I be able to make an inexpensive add on with the upcoming phone app?

Hi Alan and welcome to the club!

We just purchased a 2013 RX350. We had the dealer install the remote start with the "App" feature. I can't imagine why your dealer would not have it as well, let alone needing to wait 6 months to get the package.

I would suggest you call a Lexus dealer in Dallas, TX by the name of Sewell Lexus. They carry a large inventory of parts and sell to our members at a reduced cost. I bet they would have the part in stock. go to...sewellparts.com

You can also call Lexus customer support at 800 255 3987 and ask them to help you find out the facts.
