I've also posted this on the UK club but wondered if anyone has ever had this problem occur.

Stranger still there is also another UK owner having done the same job with the same fault.

The fault appeared after the cluster was removed for the blinky light repair, battery was disconnected throughout and when the cluster was reinstalled and the battery reconnected the Airbag light stayed on.

Thinking it was the error code 41 problem I did the wire dance and up came code 22 indicating the Airbag sensor unit had a fault.

All 3 12 volt supplies are present at the ECU so it's not a power problem.

Nevermind... I answered incorrectly after seeing you'd already tried the Code 41 solution.

I hope you have resolved it.
