I've seen threads on how to clean them and also warnings that they are easily damaged and made unusable. Sewell sells them for $900 if you register to get a forum discount: http://lexus.sewellp...LS400-1991.html

Without registering, Sewell's online price is $1227 not including shipping: Part number I'm looking at is 22250-50010

You might try looking for one a used one at a salvage company. According to Sewell's website and http://www.toyodiy.com , the same MAF sensor is used on all 90-94 LS400's.

Aside from cleaning the sensor, the problems sometimes exist in the board atop, usually bad contacts that could easily be re-soldered.

You can use a knife and cut away the top cover. Inside you will see wires leading from the connector end to the hot sensor. At times a wire will get burned out and an easy fix is to re-solder that wire back in place.
