I just ordered a new passenger side rear view mirror for my 200o es 300. The mirror was hit and broken off.

Has anyone changed this mirror? So I have to take the entire door panel off or just the triangular piece above the panel where the mirror bolts in?

How is that piece held in?

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

sandygarf,

You'll need to pull the entire interior door panel to change out a door mirror. The main reason being the wiring harness for the mirror will be under the main door panel. There will be three 10 mm nuts with washers attached that hold the mirror itself to the door, and then that wiring harness connector. It'll take longer to remove the inner door panel, then to change out the mirror. Good Luck!

Door panel actually comes off pretty easily - less steps than my 93 Camry. Careful you dont snap the tweeter off.

When removing interior door panel to change out a door mirror. The power window switch assy is pry up from the front end and not from the rear end, using a flat tip screw driver.
