Judow Posted January 1, 2013 Share Posted January 1, 2013 Hi folks. I'm new to the land of Lexus. I just bought a 2005 SC 430, Pebble Beach Edition. I looked at many luxury sports and this appealed to me the most. I/we have a daily driver SUV, husband is doing a frame-off restoration of a '50 Dodge Pilot House truck, also have a '96 Jaguar SJS and my Agatha, a '56 Austin Healey 100M. I bet you can guess we are car nuts. I am hoping the Lexus turns out to be as good a running car as she is looking. I/we did get an extended warranty just in case. It just seemed to be cost effective. While we can fix the truck and the Healey and the Jaguar to some degree, the Lexus seems to be a take it to the dealer. James Horning Posted January 1, 2013 Share Posted January 1, 2013 You will find that the SC430 is a very nice car with very few problems. The engine is one of the most reliable in the business as well as the transmission. Tire type and style are very important because tire wear can be a issue. I only service one Pebble beach SC430 .
