jbrubaker Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 Looking at a 96 that was hit from behind, very minor body damage, but the airbags deployed. Does anyone know the cost of replacement bags and installation? I've searched the forium for it and can't seem to find it. Thanks
branshew Posted March 9, 2004 Posted March 9, 2004 Parts & Labor on my Wife's '00 Pathfinder was @ $550 for the front drivers airbag. Make sure you go to the dealer or a reputable shop and get a NEW airbag. Don't buy a used one or one of shady nature off of eBay or some other website because you never know what you'll get. Remember, this could potentially save your life so don't skimp. Keep in mind though that the using the dealer network could potentially report the airbag deployment to Carfax.

Lexusfreak Posted March 10, 2004 Posted March 10, 2004 Kind of unusual that the bags would deploy after being hit from behind don't you think? Was there front end damage as well jb? Just wondering if when the car was hit if it pushed it into something else which would explaing the deployment of the bags.
