1993 Ls 400 Clear Coat

This might be a stupid question, but is there any wa I can repair the clear coat peeling on the roof. hood, and trunk lid wthout having it repainted, by the way the car has 269,000 miles and purrs like a kitten. Lou

Well sure. The clear coat can be removed and reapplied - sometimes after applying additional color coat. This was just done on several undamaged panels of my 00 LS when other adjoining panels were replaced and/or repainted. The process is commonly called "blending". In my case, this was a part of a nearly $7,000 repair.

It's not going to be cheap as a standalone job -- probabaly $2,000+.

depends if you find it worth it or not.. but a poor mans paint job could be a vinyl wrapped roof. Sounds silly but it will enhance the roof
