If so I would check for a burnt fuse. Good luck. Yah--turning the cruise "on" doesn't set your speed. First you turn it "on", get to the speed you want, then hit "set". If you have to deactivate, you don't hit "off"--you either push "cancel" or hit the brake. Then if you hit "resume" it will go back to the previously set speed.
