New Leather For The Shift Knob

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know a place that has new leather (doesn't have to be real leather) for the shifter?

I can find plenty of seat covers and steering wheels but none for the shifter!

Unless your willing to buy the leather from a leather supplier or tanner and sew it yourself, I would recommend trying ebay for a replacement shift knob. Or, try Sewelllexus.com in Dallas, TX for a new one. Tell Sewell your a member of the club and get a discount.

P.S. Please include the model year of your car when you post and include it in your profile to the left of the posting box.

Thanks

Yepp, like Paul suggested looking for a used one on ebay is a better solution then removing and replacing the leather. They sell for around $25-$200.

Is the leather "torn" or simply "worn away" of its color? If the latter, then I would simply have the leather re-dyed. If you call your dealer they can give you the number of the leather repair company they use. A simple re-dye won't cost more than $20 or so, and it'll look brand new.
