TonyLex Posted February 25, 2004 Posted February 25, 2004 1995 ES300 - Check engine light came on last week, got it read and its a cyclinder 1 misfire. Has anyone else had this code? I've noticed that at idle the engine has been knocking quite a bit and also on the highway when I hit 40-45mph it also seems to hesitate some. I had the sparkplugs changed about 6 months ago, so I think they should be ok. Any suggestions on the cause?
steviej Posted February 26, 2004 Posted February 26, 2004 check to make sure the plug wire is on securely. Make sure there are no cracks or bare spots in the cord. Check to see if that plug loosened up. You might want to actually pull that plug and see if it is fouled up with oil or crap (that would not be good). steviej
