O2 Sensor- Where Is 'bank 2/sensor 1' ?

I went to a new machanic who pulled the code from my 'check engine' light, and he informed me that the Bank 2 Sensor 1 was bad and needed to be replaced. He said it was the drivers side 02 sensor, and it was the one that was in front of the catalytic convertor...and not behind it. Not knowing this guy, I need to verify that Bank 2, Sensor 1 is indeed this particular sensor.

Anybody know????

I saw a post like this (but in the UK where the drivers side is opposite that in the US) that included mention of bank 2 being on the passenger side, which makes sense if the steering wheel is on the opposite side of vehicles in the US.
