chasrb Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 I have a mysterious water leak at times in my 1994 SC400 on the left rear trunk well. In my looking around I found no water leak when doing a test with the water hose, but I did find this: see attached pic. It has what looks like a drain hose that goes into it. It is also a one way diaphragm unit - it only opens to the inside. I still have not found the "why" my left rear trunk well will fill with water. I am still looking around at possible sources. So does anyone know what purpose this box serves? Chas
1990LS400 Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 It appears to be part of the car's ventilation system.
chasrb Posted October 12, 2010 Author Posted October 12, 2010 It appears to be part of the car's ventilation system. I was kinda thinking it might be, but was not certain. Thank you.

JMSQ Posted September 1, 2023 Posted September 1, 2023 I also had water in the trunk of my 1992 Lexus SC400. The hose had disconnected from the tube that’s connected to hole inside the gasoline compartment.
