MKMD
Hi All: I have a LS400 1996 with 110,000 miles. The fuel filter has never been changed. Where is the Fuel filter located? Is it a complicated job? Thanks in advance. M Khan
RDM
If it's the same as the 1990-94 cars, it's under the car, basically below the driver's rear door, tucked up beside the frame rail.
Alfalfa
Yours is a second generation like mine (a 95) I just changed mine last week. It is located just above the rear axle below the gas tank, just to the right of the rear differential. There is no sheild covering it. It has a banjo bolt on one connection which will make it hard to plug off to keep gas from leaking. I ran my car till it was nearly out of gas and then backed the car up on ramps, thus making what little gas that was left in the tank to go forward in the tank. Very little ran out. When I filled the car it took 21.4 gallons, so it was nearly empty.

They told me that the FF is in the Fuel tank, attached to the fuel pump. They searched on the right side of the pumpkin but could not find the FF. AzHotLS
While there is a filter attached to the pump, there is a second one in the fuel line right where they say. Confirmed here: http://www.clublexus...eplacement.html although this one says it's in the middle: http://us.lexusowner...?showtopic=6951
killerFatty
the filter attached to the pump in the tank is just a screen, not really a filter. It doesnt need to be changed unless your changing the fuel pump.
