knight02 Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 I'm new to this and have a couple of question if anyone can help me. First question: Is it normal to have fuel in your vacuum lines, especially near the fuel pressure regulator end? Second question: Why does this line keeps on coming off? Everytime I plug it back in, it dont stay in for long. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thank you This is on my 95 Lexus ES300
Lex3486 Posted February 12, 2004 Posted February 12, 2004 Sounds pretty fishy to me...where does the line that keeps coming off connect to? And does your car run alright?
knight02 Posted February 12, 2004 Author Posted February 12, 2004 Funny thing is that the car runs great and I've been having this problem for over 2 months now. The line that keeps on coming off is connected to the vacuum assembly thats nesting on top of the front injectors. Its the first thing you'll see when you pull the lexus plastic cover off. It would stay on for a couple of days and then pop off. I'm wondering the only way for fuel to get into the vacuum line would be thru the fuel pressure regulator right? Any help or ideas that I can look into?
SKperformance Posted February 13, 2004 Posted February 13, 2004 if it is the line providing vacume to the fuel pressure reg or the vsv's it can leak if one is faulty and cause gas to pass them and return to the vaum line causing it to pop off they are the blue and red things on the fuel rail
knight02 Posted February 13, 2004 Author Posted February 13, 2004 Thank you SK for the input. How can you test the Vacuum solenoid Valve to see if they are bad? If they are bad how much will it cost to replace them? Can someone give me a rough figure.
