Tallguy196
Greetings to you all! I´ve been a silent member of this board for a while now, I´ve learnt a lot from you guys! But I have never seen any topic about anyones experience with the seal kit for the dreaded leaking Power Steering Pump. Just some hints of that it exists... I can´t get hold of a replacement pump here in Sweden, and the Lexus shop will charge me with a ridicoulus sum of money for one original pump. The seal kit is very cheap, compared to the pump..... So, anybody out there with some shareable knowledge?? Thanx in advance! Lasse Hagman, LS 400 ´

JPI
Let me ask you this...Have you rebuilt a power steering pump before? It's not that easy. I've seen LEXUS TECH screw them up when rebuilding them too. I have the rebuilt kit for $43+ if you want it. JPI
mapman
I have friend who just had seal put in his by a local mechanic, not a lex mechanic, just a competent mechanic and only charged him $50 labor for removing pump, repairing and reinstalling. Autozone? We are talking about Quality stuffs here!!! I would NEVER buy anything from them. Their shocks last 6 months, A/C compressor last 3 days, alternator last 4 weeks and the list goes on. We the only thing we get them is brake clean. JPI
