has anyone tried to switch out the heads? like take one off a gte and put it on the ge? of course includes the ecu pistons, rods the whole nine i guess... anyone done this and had it work?

The only differences I know of are the usjdm 2j gte has 550cc injectors with top feed and the jdm vvti is 440cc injectors with side feed. If you swap the head, you will also have to swap the ecu and wiring harness with some tweaks of course. There are other reason but I'm not going to explain the whole swap to you as there is many threads and stickies explaining this process. But why would you want to just swap the head anyway?

got an extra motor sitting in my garage. was thinking i was gonna convert it to a gte. just wanted to make sure that the whole process would work before getting a gte head and all the extras then finding out they wont fit. thanks for the help :cheers:
