Oil Changes

Hello everyone,

I have an 04 LS 430 and I was just wondering if anyone else took there Lexus to other places rather than the dealer to get an oil change? The dealership rips people off and I am over paying such a high price for an oil change. If anyone has any ideas or places I should take it that would be appreciated.

Yes, my garage. I buy 5-6 OEM filters on line and it lasts me 18 months or more. I just get good grade oil when its on sale at Walmart. About $14-18 in materials. 30 minutes of time and satisfaction of a job done well.

Same here, I bought 10 OEM Toyota filters on eBay for $40 including shipping. Paying $55 at the dealer got real old real fast.

I have always used K&N oil filters which I buy at Advance or Pep Boys. Some people do not have the facilities or tools to change their own in which case I would use a Toyota dealer. I never take my car to Lexus because they are wayyyy to expensive.
