1999 Ls400 Actuator (Door Lock) Repair

I have an 04 LS 430 and the front passenger door actuator went out a few weeks ago. It still locks perfectly fine manually but I was thinking about getting it fixed until I went to the dealer and they told me how much the part and labor was. I just have one question. Was it pretty easy taking apart the door? I am just afraid I will try to do something like this on my own and I will break something else while in the process of fixing it. -
You can buy the latest and greatest version 8.1 for your Gen 2/3 system. It is a pretty simple swap and easily done if you have any mechanical aptitude. Here are the instructions for replacing the disc and here is a dealer who will sell you the disc at a discount. Thank you for these links!

Hello everyone, I have an 04 LS 430 and I was just wondering if anyone else took there Lexus to other places rather than the dealer to get an oil change? The dealership rips people off and I am over paying such a high price for an oil change. If anyone has any ideas or places I should take it that would be appreciated.

First time user to this forum and I find that it is amazing!!! I am looking to update my navigation in my 04 ls 430. Is there any other way than going to the dealer for this? Has anyone gotten them off of ebay? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Did you ever find a way to update the Nav using the torrent file? I am looking to update my 04 lexus and I really don't want to pay them the 300 for the disc and install! Thanks for the help!
