Suggestions For Tinting

was wondering if any of you have had tinting done and what brands you recommend. i've heard 3M is probably the best, but more expensive. I've also hear llumar is good. anyone have pics of their's tinted. thanks

I had the windows of my truck tinted. Take it to a tinting place so you can get a legal tint otherwise prepare be to harrassed by the cops (who have limo tint on their windows).

You can probably find lots of photos and opinions if you search this and other forums. Other brands are probably fine but we've had our last three cars tinted with Llumar metallized tint and it has held up well. One of the keys is to take care of tint properly ... i.e. use the recommended special cleaning fluid and the recommended type of cloth. You can't clean tint with Windex! I had my current LS400 tinted with Llumar in 2003 and it is still as good as new. Although Arizona allows "Any darkness" on the back side windows and rear window, for safety, I would recommend not going any lower than 20% on the back side and rear windows. You want to be able to see when you are backing up at night.
