  1. was wondering if any of you have had tinting done and what brands you recommend. i've heard 3M is probably the best, but more expensive. I've also hear llumar is good. anyone have pics of their's tinted. thanks
  2. I got a 1995 LS400 that just hit 55,000 miles. The previous owner basically did oil and filter changes. The dealership was able to see the records from the past services (all which were from Lexus) and from that suggested that I have many things to change/replace/update since it is nearing 60,000 miles and has not had any things done other than the basic oil and filter changes. I'm always weary that they are just trying to get me to service more than I need so I thought I'd ask you all what I need to have done at this 55,000-60,000 mile mark. Also, since I am outside of warranty, should I just go to another service shop (midas, etc...) to get things done. Lexus is quite expensive. Any places you recommend to take care of it. I wish I was more savy with cars, but I'll probably have to get most things done professionally. thanks for any advice.
  3. my 1995 LS400 is not always remembering the correct position of my seat and steering wheel despite multiple attempts to set and reset the memory function. It will sometimes get it on the first try, but other times i have to hit the same memory key multiple times before it gets the correct position. anyone else have this problem? any solutions? also, the tilt will occasionally will fully retract when i turn off the car, but sometime not. and when i restart the car, it again will sometimes go back to a "drivable" position, but then sometimes stay fully retracted. so i then hit the memory button, but the problem i described above will happen. thanks for any help.
  4. Proud new owner of a 1995 LS400 that was nearly perfect. Only 50,000 miles! Sometime in the last week somebody bumped into the rear bumper :( causing mostly cosmetic damage although one area seems that it is slightly cracked. I don't know who did it. think it was a bump and run at the mall. Was wondering if all of you would suggest getting it fixed and if so, how much do you think it will cost? Will it require a full bumper replacement? or should I just live with it? Thanks for any help. http://picasaweb.google.com/dranpsych/LS400Bumper#
