fiveofakind
Installed new battery & alternator was rebuilt by a reputable auto electric shop about a month & half ago. Today, I noticed the battery light, brake light, low radiator level, low oil level, & antilocl indicator lights are coming on at the same time. It happens when I step on the gas pedal and moving forward. They stay on until I start to come to a stop. When I press on the brake pedal, all the 5 indicator lights go off. The cycle repeats itself. It just started today. Could this possibly be related to the infamous trunk lid wire harness problem or possibly an intermittent alternator problem again. If alternator, it is definitely going back to the shop that rebuilt it. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
lexfourcam
Hopefully after you replace the alternator the problems will cease. Sounds like like an electrical issue for sure.
sbguy
Check to see if your Battrey terminals are loose, If OK? Then look at the wiring harness in the trunk. By chance, is your power steering pump leaking and geting into your new alternator? Hope this helps!!
VBdenny
If one of the trunk wires is broken you will notice shifting problems as well. It is certainly something I'd check.
miamilexus
Could the "famous trunk lid wiring harness problem" be the source of my blown dome light fuse? The dome light fuse is connected to the trunk release function. Where do I start looking for the "trunk lid harness problem?"
