Temp Gauge

Hi everyone, for the last couple of days I have noticed that the temperture gauge is runnung up to the second line on the gauge, usually reads sightly under the first one, just wondering if this is a sign the thermostat is going???? Thanks for your help on this. All fulid levels are good

It could be the thermostat. It could also be the water pump or the temperature sending unit. Regardless, it bears watching. At the mileage (and age) you have on your RX300, it's getting close to time to replace the timing belt. While they are in there, that makes it a REALLY good time to replace the water pump and thermostat. I think that only added a little over $100 to the cost of the timing belt to add those additional items. All that said, if the temperature indication is fluctuating, it's likely a thermostat. If the temperature is just running higher all the time, it could be something else. Replacing the temperature sending module is probably the easiest and cheapest thing you can do and that should be an easy DIY.
