How To Operate Electric Tailgate From Inside The Car?

Yesterday, my other half was walking back to the car with her handful of Xmas shopping, I tried to activate the electric tailgate from the driver's seat by pressing the tailgate button below the dashboard but it didn't work!. Pressed it again, and again and still nothing. Motor was running. Have I missed something? The electric tailgate does work when I'm using the remote outside the car.

I think my tailgate is set to open only when doors are unlocked.

Hi, you need to keep the pressure on until you hear the bip and the tailgate opens. It can take a few seconds.

Thanks all. I tried again tonight and it is working. You are right. I need to press and hold for a sec or two and it worked!.
