96lxs Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 Hi everyone! Does anyone know how to replace the front side marker light for 96 ls 400? I tried to do it by removing one phillip screw that was on it but it seems not wanting to come out and I don't want to force it and possibly break it. What is the proper procedure for removing it? Thanks...
billydpowell Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 you just have to pull forward on the lamp to get it out, and be careful not to break the extention that the screw goes into. this should help: http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_U_1996_LEXU...EPGKA_8104.html
VBdenny Posted November 1, 2009 Posted November 1, 2009 it is REALLY easy to break the plastic extension. You need to have the angle correct and a little luck. I broke mine taking it off required some JB Weld.
96lxs Posted November 2, 2009 Author Posted November 2, 2009 Thanks Billydpowell and VBdenny for your response.. The one I am trying to replace is the amber side marker light below the clear one. Sorry for not being very specific... Again, I don't want to break anything and make the situation worse than it is. :) :D
billydpowell Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 very same principal, take the screw out and pull forward, just a pin holding it on, and if you want to remove the longer one, there is a hidden screw behind the one you just removed. nothing to it...

Thanks Billydpowell, I will try it this weekend.
