Engine Missing And Slow To Accelerate

Hi I have a 94 LS400 with 96400 miles. I had felt a pull with the engine during acceleration and at idle. Thought it might be a transmission problem so I changed the fluid and filter. When we put it in to idle to shift we noticed sparking from the driver side coil and arcing to the engine coolant valve. Now the engine is missing and when I accelerate the transmission is not engaging. Is this a new coil, plugs, wires issue with the sparking? And is this maybe low ATF Fluid for the transmisson? Any help would be wonderful! Thanks!!!!

I had a similar problem. It was the left coil (driver's side) wire. Open the hood when engine is running in a dark environment and check for any fire works.

Good luck

at least new wires, if you are going to replace them I would change the caps, rotors and plugs at the same time. The drivers side coil is the one with the most failures. Mine just went out after replacing it 4 yrs. ago during a tune-up. ( with OEM from Lexus ) $80.00

My car was surging the rpm up and down almost stalling. And would not go above 30mph, very, very rough engine

I am associated with any part seller. I always order on line with Park Place Lexus-Plano. They are in texas and have always provided great prices and service. Just google park place lexus-plano.
