Furnrep101
Hope everyone is doing good out there.. I'm in the market for some new tires.. I own a 03 GS300 and have some Z rated Yokohama's which are in need of replacing soon. A couple tires I am looking at are the Goodyear Assurance triple tred or stay with Yokohama's and change to a Avid TRZ. If anyone has suggestions or comments about what they are using that would be great. Stock rims 225/55/16 Thanks
SRK
Tires are mostly subjective - what some like others hate - and there are more opinions about them than even engine oil brands, which is enough to boggle one's mind. That said, I like Michelin tires, and for your car either Exalto's or Pilot's, depending on how much you want to spend. I have Michelin on everything I own, including a Dodge Dakota, and I will NEVER buy anything else. That's my opinion, tightly and fervently held. I have a set of Pilot Exalto A/S on my 02 GS and I am very satisfied with them. About 42,000 on these so far and still have plenty of tread left and they still ride and handle great. Good luck. Lexusfreak
Due to the nature of the GS, I too would suggest the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S or even the Pilot Sport A/S Plus (although expensive) over the Goodyear Triple Treds. More info here... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...ot+Exalto+A%2FS And here... http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?ti...port+A%2FS+Plus

I also filled them with nitrogen to improve the wear on them.
