Help With My Tires

Recommended Posts

i have an 1995 sc400, & have 18"rims on it, we bought brand new tires for it almost 2 years ago ( & many miles)................well now the tires are very bald & "spliting" my question is is it "normal" for low profile tires to wear this fast? i'm only asking becuz my husband does not give me a straight answer, & i have heard from someone that those kind of tires do wear faster than like, new tires for a cadillac.. thankyou

High & ultra high performance tires generally will wear faster (other factors such as regular maintenance, how they were driven on etc also play a pretty big role)...what kind of tires (brand & model) do you currently have?

What model Cadillac are we talking about?

Every kind of tire one chooses no matter if they are summer, all season, winter, long mileage etc is a compromise one way or the other...shorter tread life is one for 'low profile', high performance or ultra high performance category.
