fiery_cayenne
I recently swapped doors on the passenger side due to a collision. I used the door off a 92 SC. The door read closed before the door swap. After it read open. All the door wiring was changed out for the old one as well as the door locks. It still reads constant open to the point that the battery cable has to be removed so as not to drain the battery. My body man is at a loss. The door is hard to shut and I fear that he missed a frame issue. My question is would the frame issue cause the door to read open? The door will lock and unlock and the windows work. Is there a part that tells the computer the door is shut that he is missing? I have searched the forums and can't find anything related. grnsc40095
fiery_cayenne, The door must not be aligned properly, if the door is heavy/hard to shut. I looked at my door for a button/area were the door comes in contact with the frame making the door light turn off to no avail. It could be the door hinge that causing the door not to properly shut. Instead of disconnecting the battery everyday remove the fuse. You could PM this Sc vendor your question: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc400-300-...o-you-need.html He is a member here/goes by the same name (aliga), but is more active on club lexus.
