Larry W Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 The other day when I got home I stopped the car and after putting the trans in park, shut down the engine. A "beeping" sound went off for about 5 seconds while the key was in the ignition. I'm sure this is something simple like..... I left something on and its reminding me to do something. A little help in this matter from you experienced Lexus people.
ZenkiFace Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 That sounds like the sunroof tilt warning. Double check that your sunroof is completely closed.
Larry W Posted June 25, 2009 Author Posted June 25, 2009 That sounds like the sunroof tilt warning. Double check that your sunroof is completely closed. Thank you. The sunroof was barely open. Just enough to trigger the alarm.
jcrome04 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 My 97 LS doesn't beep when the sunroof is open. An option mine doesn't have?
ZenkiFace Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I'm not sure about a 97, but on my 90 the warning is only for the tilt. If I slide the sunroof back and turn off the car, no warning. However, if I tilt it up and shutdown, then I'll get the beeping.
VBdenny Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 yeah, on my 90 it beeps if you leave it open. I often do because I park it in the garage so I know the sound. Mine beeps if the sunroof is not fully closed.
amcdonal86 Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 Mine doesn't have it either. I guess we're just supposed to be smart and not leave it open by mistake! :D
