Does anyone have any information about which paint holds up the best in the long term? The two that I am trying to decide between are Silver or Black. I live in the Southwest so snow really is not a factor. We do not have harsh winters so salts, solvents, etc. are not on the roadway. We also do not get a tremendous amount of rain. My wife has a 2007 IS 250 with Black Sapphire Pearl (fancy name for dark blue) and the environmentally friendly paint is chipping off the front bumper and hood.
