Can I Use A Camry Transmission Or Engine In A 300?

Hi. New member on the board. I've been looking at some ES 300s in my local area.

I'm looking to buy one with a transmission problem ('93), but I'm trying to find out if I can use a Camry trans. Basically any place you can point me to about interchange information w/Camry.

Also, any other problem areas to be checked for?

92-93 ones work fine, lots of japanese part importers have them cheap.

Cool! Would I just look for JYs in my area that specialize in imports? Sorry, I've owned American brands all my life so I'm new to this.
