Plugs/timing Belt Related To O2 Sensor Failures?

Recommended Posts

I have a 03 GS300, 89k miles. Had my timing belt and plugs changed last week.

O2 sensor Bank2, Sensor 1 failed right away. I took the car back to the dealer and they changed that sensor.

Now, 10 days later, check engine light has come on again. Had it tested at Autozone and code P0037 comes up, Bank 1 Sensor 2, heater circuit low. Am I just having bad luck or could the mechanic have screwed something up when he changed the timing belt and plugs?

Since Sensor 2 is after the converter, could it possibly need replacing?

I doubt if there was any damage done to the sensors with the TB change, Maybe pull the sensor out and see if it has buildup on it and gently clean it off with a non- abrasive cleaner. Just a thought. Or replace it.
