rnaves Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 i just cant seem to beat this, issue, i had the breaks done got it home it stalled out , i put a new fuel pump in and it still wont start
GrnHrnt Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 Many things can make an engine stall and refuse to start. Some simple- out of gas. Some complex- broken timing belt. What made you suspect a bad fuel pump?
SCRider Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I agree that there can be many issues to why your car doesn't start or stall out. I suggest check if your battery is weak, check if alternator isn't shorted out by power steering leak, spark plugs and wires could be bad or possibly a bad starter. These are just some ideas I can only think of from the top of my head. Good Luck!
Lucky13 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 If it did click, it sounds like a dead batt. Maybe not a bad batt or alt hopefully but check 'em out.
SCRider Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Actually if you turn the key and it cranks then it's the battery or the alternator, but if you turn the key and all you hear are clicks then I'm 95% sure it's your starter because I had the same problem with my starter. Hope That helps
