Dark Horse Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Hi All, When I purchased my wife's 2000 LS400 it came with one key. It is a remote key. Recently, I have noticed the base of the key near the housing is loose. Can this be fixed? Also, I would like to purchase another remote key for a spare. Can someone please tell me the most cost effective approach? Regards, Dark Horse
jcrome04 Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Try to snap it back together. Sewell is good for keys I've heard. http://www.sewellpartsonline.com/default.asp

If this is the case, can the car ('04 LS430) be set up so that the seat pre-sets go to position 1 for one key and position 2 for the second key when one of them is used to remotely unlock the car?

No clue but that would be AWESOME! B)

For the broken key, I'd just buy a new shell for $50: http://www.sewellpartsonline.com/parts_detail.asp?id=88782
