I recently had the same problem, but it was caused by the PS rack being replaced and it broke in in a few days. I don't think we have quite the same problem though, unless you recently replaced your rack & pinion. Sorry to not be of any help.

It may not be the pump (yet). There is a solenoid on the rack underneath the car, it has a screen that may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. Unscrew it (fluid will flow out), and clean it with a brush. If it is clogged, pressure in the system will increase causing leaks.

Click here, start with page 5 and follow the pictures. I did this with my old LS, and it made a world of difference in the steering. I'm going to do it again soon to my GS430.
