A crack was developed on the windshield of my 2008 ES350 today. It was about 3 to 4 inches long from the trop, right in the front. It was not there last night. And this morning , right after I drove out of the neighbourhood, I noticed the windshield cracked. I didn't hear any peddle hitting the windshield.

Could this be a stress fracture ?

Anyone has had similar experience ?

Thanks

Just to update, I've brought the car to dealer and it was confirmed it's a stress fracture. So it's covered in the warranty..

Wow that is interesting. I have never heard of that. These windows are supposed to be 'double insulated' of sorts. So your factory seal is gone once they replace the windshield. At least it's covered......

I just got a brand spanking new 14 inch crack on my GS... started off as a pebble hit that I did not see because it happened right behind my registration sticker.. the combined with snow and me using my defogger it spread like wildfire.... damn i wish I had glass coverage... Nice call on your dealer though for covering it.
