Trunk Button Does Not Work

I have a 1999 es300 sedan. The button inside the car to open the trunk just stopped working as did the cigarette lighter/power outlet in the ashtray under the stereo. The trunk will open using the keyless entry remote but not from the inside button. What can I do?

So ... what kind of condition is the fuse for the accessory circuit in? Have you checked the fuses? I think you will find them behind the coin change compartment on a 99 ES.

Isn't there a button in the glove box you can push that will turn off the interior switch? Someone in your car may have pushed it by mistake.

There is an emergency access to the trunk on your ES300.
