babyduke Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 We've been getting lots of snow in Chicago and the city plow always leave high mounds in front of my driveway. Because of it the plastic shield under the car which attaches to the front bumper ripped an came off. Should I replace that now or later once the snowy season's over? What is this piece called so that I can shop around?
1990LS400 Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 There are two engine under covers (#1 and #2) shown here: http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/p_U_1997_LEXU...CAZKA_5102.html
eatingupblacktop Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 I'd replace it now. You don't want all the slush/salt/road debris and !Removed! spraying up into the engine compartment. Just be carefull where you drive and as much of a pita it is that the plows block our driveways, clear the end of your drive before you head out. If the mound is high enough, it could grab a lower control arm or something else and if it's frozen ... look out!
