Enola Straight Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 I know about the petcock valve on the bottom of the radiator, but where is the plug to drain coolant from the block?
kingjack133 Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 Don t know of any plug except for frost plugs.....try removing bottom hose....i m thinkin that should do it. Why are you draining the block?
garvos Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 on my 93 es there is one on the rear block.you have to jack the car up,and its under the exhaust manifold towards the fire wall.its a brass plug, hpoe that help.
Enola Straight Posted January 8, 2009 Author Posted January 8, 2009 why? I'm going to drain, flush, and refill with fresh coolant; I haven't done it in years, and I think I'm overdue. :(
1990LS400 Posted January 8, 2009 Posted January 8, 2009 As Kingjack said, remove the lower radiator hose to drain the block -- that's the standard way of doing it on all cars. I guess you could suck out any that doesn't come out with a small rotary pump -- I bought one at the hardware store for about $10-$15; it has a handle like a fishing reel.
