killerFatty Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 I am about to install a aftermarket head unit in my 93 and was wondering what all i need to get and where from. Is it a hard job or can i do it in an afternoon. I am not really electricly inclined, engines are more my thing. Any tips would be great.
VMF Posted December 25, 2008 Posted December 25, 2008 make sure you have all the thins you need, harness, adapters etc. then this job is a piece of cake
killerFatty Posted December 26, 2008 Author Posted December 26, 2008 I got the wiring harness and DIN adapter, is there anything else I need?
PureDrifter Posted December 27, 2008 Posted December 27, 2008 I got the wiring harness and DIN adapter, is there anything else I need? you realize that there isnt a readily available harness in the US that lets you control ALL the factory speakers. (primarily the subs)
killerFatty Posted January 8, 2009 Author Posted January 8, 2009 I installed the head unit successfuly and it works great. I did lose my sub, but i was wxpecting that. This morning, My car would not start, the battery is DEAD. I didn't have time to jump start the car, so it sat in the driveway all day. What could be the problem? Is there something that i need to do to the head unit or is it something worse?
