bainzey Posted December 18, 2008 Posted December 18, 2008 Hi, I reside in Canada and have a US import RX 330. Since I am in Canada I wanted to switch some of the default settings to be applicable to Canada. IE: default GPS zone, instead of miles use KMs during distance calculations, and Degrees Fahrenheit to Degrees Celsius. Well the first two aren't that hard to do. But is there any way to switch the default temperature unit, as it remains in Degrees Fahrenheit, and I can't seem to see an obvious spot to change this. Can this be done via one of the hack menus perhaps? Any help or direction is appreciated. Cheers

I remember reading something in there how to do it - you are supposed to hold one or two buttons for 3 seconds or something like that. My car is in the shop right now so I can't look it up at the moment.

There has long been a thriving industry in Europe for modifying vehicles from miles/Fahrenheit to km/Celsius. Most every European employee who worked on temporary assignment at our location here in Kansas bought a U.S. spec vehicle and had it shipped back home and modified. There are companies in Canada that modify everything from miles/Fahrenheit to km/Celsius.
